Thus, you have the occasional riff thrown in out of respect to the old soundtrack for nostalgia's sake, but the game for the most part is just ambience. Most games like this these days do not have a screaming electric soundtrack playing in the background lol.as much as I love the original OST, they probably ditched it due to the mood. So: Excellent remake, somme remaining bugs but nothing too serious, a must have for the immersive sim fans ! "strange" UI from the original System Shock, it's now more like SS 2, maybe a bit too much keys to assign, but pretty cool anyway. I have to insist on the excellent work to modernise the. Visually, the game is really good, excellent art direction, the gun feeling is pretty good too (for this type of games), the music, the atmosphere, all of this is verry good. So, somme bugs remains: Passing through elevators floors (probably 3 or 4 times on the entire playthrough), game freezing after a save loading (but with possibility of quickloading immediately so this is not a real issue), impossibility to loot items inside the security sector cells, and some missing sound sometimes, especially on the last fight against Shodan, nothing too problematic (the game is probably cleaner right now than Cyberpunk 2077 at it's release :p ).īut, in the big picture, the work done by Nightdive is really impressive, and if System Shock stay a bit behind it's sequel in my opinion (in term of scenario, essentially), the fact is I've been VERRY happy with this one.
